Established after the restoration of the Independence of Lithuania, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) is the second largest research university in Lithuania. About 10,000 students study at Mykolas Romeris University. MRU commits to high quality education, to leading intellectual potential, and to future innovative society leaders. 

Its research and studies, carried out according to the major principles of the Bologna process, are a growing field of transdisciplinary approach to Social Sciences, Technology and the Humanities. Priority research area of MRU for 2010-2015 is “Societal Innovations for Global Growth”. The University offers digitalised access for distance and for life-long learning students and develops its liberal education system.

MRU promotes internationalization on all levels of its activities. It actively cooperates with international organizations and partners abroad, encourages students’ and lecturers’ mobility. MRU implements and further develops joint study programmes enabling students to acquire integrated international study experience and joint or double degrees (diplomas).

Mykolas Romeris University offers Undergraduate, Graduate and Postgraduate programmes in English and is a leading institution of higher education in Lithuania, according to criteria or internationalization.

It is the first University in the country, which offered the possibility to choose international joint study porgammes leading to double or even triple diplomas. Joint programmes are offered in cooperation with Universities from UK, France, Austria, Finland, even South Korea! 

About 500 University students each year participate in international exchanges (studies and internships) via Erasmus, Nordplus or other international programmes.

At the present students taking our degree and exchange programmes come from almost 38 countries such diverse as Jamaica, USA, Germany, Ukraine, Turkey, Azerbaijan, India, and so on.

Study programmes offered at Mykolas Romeris University are continuously renewed and updated, responding to the need of society and providing young people with knowledge and skills necessary to build a successful career.
